Joining the already serialized Powers by Brian Bendis and Mike Oeming, Kabuki by David Mack and Mercury Comics's Atomika, from April 1st Markosia Publishing's critically acclaimed and Eagle Award-nominated series Starship Troopers will be reprinted in its entirety for free at Newsarama.com at http://comics.newsarama.com/starshiptroopers.
"We're excited to be a part of this new wave of online comics," said Tony Lee, Group Editor for Markosia and writer of the series. "With the first three arcs now printed, twelve issues in total and a new ongoing starting in April/May, we wanted to do something different with the original trilogy to coincide with the ongoing's launch – and the guys at Newsarama came up with a doozy of an opportunity!"
Set at the beginning of the war against the bugs, and taking aspects from the bestselling book Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein, the blockbuster movie and the CGI cartoon series, Starship Troopers – Blaze Of Glory follows a young rookie, Will Tanner as he joins Tamari's Tigers – one of the fiercest units in the Mobile Infantry in time for their next mission – to rescue the survivors of the Alamar 'Alamo' Bay Scientific Research Center from a planet swarming with bugs.
But Will finds out that things aren't the same as the recruitment programs – as his friends die around him, his sergeant seems traitorous and his very life is in jeopardy – and that's before he starts the drop…
Blaze Of Glory is the first of three books, the following four-parters being Dead Man's Hand and Damaged Justice, a trilogy quoted in the press as 'Sharpe in Space'. With art by Sam Hart, Neil Edwards and Shanth Enjetti and written by Tony Lee, the twelve part series is being serialized, a page a day, every weekday until the twelve issues are complete.
"We have a year of Starship Troopers." Harry Markos, Managing Partner and Publisher of Markosia said. "And when we've finished, we'll continue with the ongoing."
Starship Troopers – Blaze Of Glory starts on April 1st with a weeks worth of pages – pages 1 – 6 of the tale already uploaded for the readers. It can be found in the links at the top right of the Newsarama links with Powers, Kabuki, and Atomika and or at http://comics.newsarama.com/starshiptroopers.
